a Backhoe Loader?

The backhoe loader is a heavy equipment, and a kind that is needed by those who work in the sanitation field. This equipment is important because it performs the work of two equipment at the same time, the bulldozer and the excavator.
Its mechanisms allow it to dig like an excavator, and move the soil and dirt like a wheel loader. It can dig the earth and do long trenches to lay down the sewer pipes, and it can load the trucks with sand and dirt.

This equipment is distinguished by its potential to work in tight and small places, because of its maneuverable ability. So, instead of using two equipments in one place to perform a specific work, we can simply use the backhoe loader to do various tasks efficiently, in a way convenient to the contractor at the job site.

Running the equipment does not need knowledgeable and skilled operators, but the important thing is how to run it effectively. Usually, there are different joysticks in the operator cabinet to move the front bucket and rear bucket by controlling the hydraulic arm back and forth, stretching and shorten.

These equipment are valuable assets for the sewer contractor who works in Saudi Arabia. We can see that if it is managed effectively it will affect the profit positively, speed up project's completion and earn customer's satisfaction.

Shall we buy the equipment or lease it?
To take the right decision, we must review our financial status. Our choice must be consistent with the investment budget, and projects need. Therefore, we have two options, either we have to use our private funds or other's funds or to lease this equipment from a rental company or from a contractor equipment rental . However, you should put in your mind the possibility of some delay in case you relied on a subcontractor or rental company.

Training:
Backhoe loader operators can receive their training courses by registering for an online program or physical program. Training topics include basic operation requirements, methods of earthmoving and trenches digging.

Safety Training:
Companies may get a fine for allowing untrained workers to run these equipments. Rules in some countries require involved companies in this field to give their operators training for safety procedures. Backhoe loader operators find themselves obliged to attend theoretical and practical training courses to get the necessary certificates.

Pre-Operating:
The operator should check the status of the equipment parts, before he starts working. He is responsible for the safety of all the workers around the equipment. He must check several things every time he wishes to use the backhoe loader, such as lights, signals, tires, hydraulic cylinders, front bucket and rear bucket.

The safety officer is responsible for the worker's safety at the job site in general. He should make sure that they are following safety procedures, such as wearing of:
1) Jacket with signs (orange or yellow).
2) Hard hats (to protect their heads).
3) Safety shoes (to protect their feet and fingers).
4) Long pants (to protect their legs).

Environmental Risks:
The operators of these equipments should be aware of the surrounding area shape, in cooperation with the excavation supervisor and the site engineer. They should know before they start any digging work the exact place of the public utilities, like (gas lines, telephone cables, electricity cables, water pipes, drainage pipes) to avoid any damage and being penalized by the owner of the project.
